IQ Kecskemét: Digital Innovation Hub in central location in Hungary
IQ Kecskemét, as innovation centre, provides infrastructure for education of 3D printing which is used not only by companies but also by the students of the local university. We established cooperation with the industrial clusters in the region with the objective to create incentives for the local companies to use the innovation infrastructure for the digital transformation of their business processes.
Opportunities for cooperation were also identified in vocational education because the utilisation of digital technologies require new competencies and skills in all sectors of the industry. As active member of the IPAR4.0 Technology Platform (which is the national initiative for industrial digitalisation in Hungary), IQ Kecskemét can act as regional coordinator that provides linkage between the competencies and skills development offers of educational institutions and the needs of the local industrial clusters.
As a response to the needs of the regional industry, new vocational training service is started – based on the methodology and vocational training curriculum that were developed in the „Provet 4.0” project by Italian experts – with the objective to provide practical knowledge and skills to factory staff and to young entrepreneurs which enables them to use Key Enabling Technologies for Advanced Manufacturing.
- The training modules cover 6 specific thematic areas:
- Cyber-Physical Systems
- Augmented Reality
- Cloud Computing
- Big Data
- Collaborative Robotics
- Additive Manufacturing
The trainings are provided initially only in English but trainings in local (Hungarian) language are also foreseen from March 2019. The trainings are provided at a subsidised rate for young entrepreneurs who participate in the government-sponsored startup support programme called „INPUT” in Hungary. Cooperation agreements are under preparation with business support organisations in the neighbouring countries (in Romania, Slovakia and Serbia) to bring this competence to the entrepreneurs in these countries, as well.
